Module 4: My First AI & Robotics Project!

Bring Your Robot Friend to Life - Design, Build & Program!

Your project journey begins now!

Your Project Story

"I can't wait to meet you!"

Welcome to the GeniusJr Robot Design Studio! You've learned so much about AI and robots, and now it's time to create your very own robot friend.

Remember Robo from Module 3? He needs a friend! Today, you'll design that friend, give it a name, choose its special abilities, and program how it behaves.

This is what real AI engineers and robot designers do - they imagine something helpful or fun, then bring it to life through design and programming!

Your 4-Step Project Plan

Step 1: Design Your Robot

Choose parts and create your robot's look. What will it look like? Will it have wheels, legs, or something else?

Step 2: Give It AI Behaviors

Program how your robot will behave. Will it be helpful, playful, exploratory, or something completely new?

Step 3: Test Your Creation

See your robot in action! Watch how it behaves and make adjustments if needed.

Step 4: Present & Celebrate

Give your robot a name, save your project, and get your Junior AI Engineer certificate!

Step 2

AI Behavior Programming

Drag behavior blocks to program how your robot will act! What will make your robot special?

Available Behaviors

Drag these blocks to the programming area:

Greet People

Say "Hello" when someone is near

Clean Up

Look for messes and clean them

Dance to Music

Move to the beat when music plays

Explore Safely

Move around without bumping

Learn Names

Remember people's names

Help When Asked

Respond to requests for help

Your Robot's Program

Drag behavior blocks here to create your robot's AI program!

Step 3

Test Your Creation

See your robot in action! What will it do with the AI behaviors you programmed?

Engineer's Note

Testing is how real engineers make sure their creations work properly! If something doesn't work as expected, you can go back and adjust your design or program.

Step 4

Present & Celebrate Your Success!

Certificate of Completion

This certifies that

[Your Name]

has successfully designed, programmed, and tested

[Robot Name]

and is hereby recognized as a

Junior AI & Robotics Engineer

Teaching Guide: Module 4 - Final Project

Learning Objective: Synthesize all previous learning into a culminating project that demonstrates understanding of AI and robotics concepts through creation.

Key Vocabulary: Design, Program, Test, Debug, Present, Iterate, Prototype.

Methodology:

  • Project-Based Learning: This module uses a full project cycle (design → program → test → present) to reinforce learning.
  • Physical Extension: After the digital design, have students create simple physical versions using paper, cardboard, or LEGO. Connect to the "paper robot" mentioned in the course overview.
  • Showcase Event: Organize a "Robot Showcase" where students present their creations. This builds presentation skills and celebrates achievement.
  • Peer Feedback: Students can share their designs and give constructive feedback using "I like..." and "I wonder..." sentence starters.
  • Real-World Connection: Discuss how engineers follow similar steps when creating real technology. Show examples of robot prototypes.

NCERT Connection: This project-based approach aligns with NCERT's emphasis on experiential, hands-on learning and developing creativity and problem-solving skills.

Duration: 3-4 periods (approx. 105-140 minutes) to allow for design, testing, and presentation.

Assessment: Use the completed projects to assess understanding of AI/robotics concepts. The assignment page provides formal assessment tools.
